Switching Off Stress (Free Meditation)

This meditation is more of a process than meditation as it takes you to your heart centre, where you access your light within. As you do so, you bypass fear and logic (the ego), opening you up instead to your right brain, enabling you to open up deep within your heart centre.

There’s a field of intention within and around the human body. When you work from this heart-centred state of inner being, your intentions take on new meaning as you direct your subconscious mind to bring about healings on a deep and profound level. The subconscious mind does whatever you tell it to do, no questions asked. Healing is enhanced when you engage the brain, as the brain believes whatever it sees and adjusts the chemistry in your body accordingly. As you do this meditation, you will be rewriting the chemistry in your body.

When you experience constant stress over a prolonged period, it can lead to long-term health problems. The amygdala, the emotional centre in the brain, responds to stress by switching off the thinking brain and the digestive system, conserving your energy to prepare you for fight or flight. Today, a lot of people are experiencing immediate and overwhelming stress due to the threat of contracting COVID-19.

We know from neuroscience that the brain doesn’t produce consciousness, but acts as a kind of receiver of as it ‘taps into’ and ‘picks up’ the fundamental consciousness that is all around us, and ‘transmits’ it into our own being. We’re all at risk of being exposed to the mindset of fear that social media has projected onto the coronavirus. This needn’t be the case as we can easily find heart coherence within.

Heart coherence is where the brain is in alignment with the natural rhythms of the heart. This is achieved through developing, practising and maintaining elevated emotions such as gratitude, love, compassion, thankfulness and care.

With all the above in mind, I now invite you to follow the meditation and enjoy the healing process in light.
